Details: Yokkaichi Banko-Yaki was named by Nunami Rozan, a wealthy merchant in Kuwana, in the mid-Edo period. There are more than 100 pottery companies centered in Yokkaichi City. A wide variety of items are actively developed, and earthenware pots, which account for 80-90% of domestic production, are especially famous. Simple shapes that can be easily adapted to Bonju and satisfactory quality can be obtained for a reasonable price.
